Beijing Trip Day 1 & Peplum Dresses...

Sorry for the recent lack of blogging, I have been been very busy recently! I have also lost my pen for my bamboo tablet which has been a major disaster but after hours of searching it appeared in the bottom of my wash bag this morning. PHEW! I honestly have no clue how it ended up there, don't you find that you always find things you have lost in the most obscure places?

Here are the pictures from Day 1 of the Beijing trip (all pictures are taken myself), over the next few days or so I will be posting a day of Beijing along with a peplum dress I drew and some ramblings on about meaningless parts of my daily life.

DAY 1

I love this picture, I really like the way it captures the soldier in the foreground and then Chairman Mao in the background and also the contrast between the soldier and the men in jeans in the middle.

How cool is he?! You never see policemen like this in the UK.

First dress I drew in China and number 1 in my little peplum dress series! Also the illustration I put in my last post was drawn whilst I was there.

I hope you have all been in enjoying the sun in the UK recently, I certainly have. Goodbye to jumpers, boots, coats, long sleeved tops and hello to bralets, shorts, summer dresses and a much needed tan.

Hope you have all enjoyed the weekend, can't wait till next weekend with the Queen's Diamond jubilee! I am planning on going all patriotic with these little beauties and this denim pussy bow shirt.

Have a wonderful week!

Fall to Grace

Evening All,

Drawing from a few days ago. My tablet pen nib is wearing out so apologies for a lack of posts recently.

'Fall to Grace' by Paloma Faith is available to pre-order from iTunes now! If you haven't heard her take a look at the video and see what you think of her newest single; her debut album was on permanent repeat on my iPod for at least 6 months, so to say I am excited is a massive understatement. She reminds me of a quirky Duffy/Amy Winehouse and you may recognise her from St Trinian's when she played Andrea.

Have you ever heard of Paloma Faith?
What is your opinion?

Pictures from China trip in next post.

Hope you have had a great bank holiday!
